As an entry-level CAD Designer, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a team that designs and develops critical military equipment.
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of military equipment and systems. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to contribute to the success of our projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- CAD Design: Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings of military equipment and components using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to translate conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models.
- Design Modification: Assist in making design modifications as needed, addressing any changes in project requirements or performance specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all CAD designs meet our company's quality and compliance standards, as well as relevant military and industry regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of design files, revisions, and other relevant documentation.
- Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate project progress, resolve design-related issues, and implement design changes.
- Research: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, CAD software advancements, and military technology developments to contribute innovative ideas to the design process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, CAD Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error-free designs.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- An understanding of military specifications and standards is a plus, but not required for entry-level positions.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer aided technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in procurement, 2-4 years preferred.
Pay: $62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
