Mechanical Foreman

Linden Shipping International LLC is currently seeking a Mechanic Foreman for a full-time, on-site role located in Sharjah Hamriyah Port and Free Zone, United Arab Emirates. The Mechanic Foreman will be responsible for supervising the mechanical maintenance activities for all vessels managed and operated by the company. The Mechanic Foreman will also manage and lead a team of mechanics, allocate work, manage the day-to-day activities of the mechanics, and ensure that all safety, environmental, and health regulations and standards are strictly adhered to.

Job Duties:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance requirements on engines, winches, hydraulic motors, pneumatic tools, and other machines;
• Can perform overhauls of machinery such as (but not limited to): engines, winches, hydraulic motors
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using measuring and testing instruments.
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; and examining form and texture of parts.
• Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts.
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance/service reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Willing to travel abroad to project sites if necessary
• Willing to occasionally work overtime to accomplish jobs on time
