Job Objective

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous readiness, reliability, and efficiency of all factory equipment—including rubber injection and compression machines, mixing and milling machines, and cooling systems. The role focuses on executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, minimizing equipment downtime, improving asset life, and upholding the highest safety and operational standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Execution

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedule using CMMS or integrated ERP systems.
  • Execute predictive maintenance activities such as vibration analysis, thermal inspection, and pressure monitoring.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures with minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and maintain chiller units, air compressors, and other utility systems for optimal performance.

Operational Efficiency & Reliability

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for repetitive equipment failures and implement corrective actions to improve MTBF and reduce MTTR.
  • Optimize critical spare-parts inventory, establish reorder levels, and coordinate procurement.
  • Train machine operators on routine autonomous maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspection.
  • Coordinate maintenance planning with Production and Quality teams to schedule shutdowns and prioritize tasks.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to HSE standards, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare monthly maintenance performance reports covering machine availability, breakdown analysis, PM compliance, and cost control.
  • Document repairs, spare-parts usage, and maintenance history in CMMS/ERP.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in maintaining injection molding, compression molding, or heavy industrial machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience working with ERP/CMMS systems for maintenance and inventory management.

Mandatory Training / Certifications

  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
  • Basic PLC & Industrial Controls training.
  • Hydraulic Systems Maintenance.
  • Industrial Safety (HSE & LOTO) certification.

Preferred Additional Certifications

  • Vibration Analysis – Level 1.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • Industrial Refrigeration / HVAC-Chiller Maintenance training.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).

Required SkillsTechnical Skills
