The Technology Development Team at RTConsults develops innovative, often disruptive technologies to gather critical data for optimizing inspections and application processes. We are seeking a creative, hands-on problem solver who collaborates well with others, embraces big challenges, and takes ownership of delivering results.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Design electrical systems that deliver simple, elegant solutions, driving innovative approaches to measurement challenges in robotic and PCB systems.
- Perform simulation analyses of mechanical systems to verify their compatibility with the intended deployment environment.
- Develop prototypes of robotic systems for use in both laboratory and field environments.
- Collect and analyze laboratory and field data to assess environmental conditions and processes, evaluate system performance, and determine the causes of successes and failures.
- Providetechnical expertise and guidance to support team members in achieving their best work and delivering excellent results
- Assemble, inspect, and repair printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic modules.
- Design, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts.
- Must have experience using computer-aided design (CAD) and simulation software relevant to your field.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend technical conferences and assist with testing new technologies at our facilities.
- Able to work diligently both independently from home and collaboratively within team settings.
- Must have experience with materials and manufacturing robotics and automation, signal processing, or engineering project management
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, and assist in drafting patent applications.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English clearly, accurately, and concisely at a level necessary to perform the duties of this role.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of engineering practices, encompassing scientific and economic principles, calculation methods, design specifications, as well as relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong work habits and a solid work ethic, while consistently adhering to company hours, policies, and professional business etiquette.
- Experience in electronic design, PCB assembly, robotics systems, or automation
- Programming experience: Python, C/C++, Arduino, or similar
- Proficiency with software: EasyEDA, Fusion 360, KiCad, Proteus
- Experience with interfaces: HDMI, I2S, UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, BT, GSM/GPRS, LTE, NB-IoT, ladder logic, machine coding
- Knowledge of microcontrollers (PIC, AVR, STM32, Arduino, ESP32, etc.)
- Ability to read schematics and operate test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope)
- Proven skills in problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and project management.
