Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MD or DO to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise across various specialties, including primary care, emergency medicine, Wound Care, and more. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care through medical assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up in a dynamic healthcare environment. The Medical Doctor will utilize advanced medical technologies and electronic health record (EHR) systems to deliver high-quality care while adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical standards. Experience with inpatient and outpatient settings, and clinical research.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Diagnose a wide range of medical conditions utilizing diagnostic tools including CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and laboratory tests.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across various specialties such as cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, oncology, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology, orthopedics, and more.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses through medication management, procedural interventions (e.g., suturing, intubation, IV infusion), and therapeutic techniques.
- Utilize EHR/EMR systems like Epic to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, specialists in interventional radiology, pulmonology, infectious disease care, rehabilitation services, and others to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in clinical research trials or studies to advance medical knowledge and improve treatment outcomes.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention (immunizations), lifestyle modifications, and post-discharge care plans.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations including HIPAA standards and infection control protocols.
- Engage in telehealth consultations when appropriate to expand access to care.
Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensing to practice medicine.
- Proven experience in outpatient clinics or hospital settings; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is advantageous.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Practice Fusion or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in multiple specialties including but not limited to: emergency medicine, critical care (ICU/PACU), cardiology (interventional cardiology), neurology (neurocritical care), obstetrics/gynecology (labor & delivery), pediatrics (including neonatal intensive care), oncology, rheumatology, infectious disease care, sleep medicine, pain management, and hospice & palliative medicine.
- Hands-on experience with diagnostic radiology procedures such as nuclear medicine or neuroradiology imaging techniques.
- Skills in performing invasive procedures like catheterization (cardiac or vascular interventional radiography), spinal taps (lumbar puncture), suturing, gastric lavage, or airway management.
- Knowledge of medical coding (CPT/ICD) for billing purposes along with familiarity with clinical research protocols.
- Strong understanding of physiology and pathology across multiple organ systems; excellent communication skills for patient service and education; commitment to high standards of patient safety and quality care.
