Job Summary
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and experienced Medical Office Manager to oversee daily operations of our medical practice. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient administrative and financial management, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide leadership to office staff. This role is critical in creating a smooth, patient-focused environment while supporting the clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the medical office, including scheduling, billing, patient flow, and administrative processes.
- Manage and supervise office staff, including receptionists, medical assistants, and administrative personnel.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) and internal policies.
- Handle patient inquiries, complaints, and concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize workflow and patient care delivery.
- Monitor financial performance, including billing, coding, payroll, and budgets.
- Implement and maintain office policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide training, and support professional development.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for operational and regulatory purposes.
- Oversee vendor relationships, office equipment, and supply inventory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Previous experience managing a medical office, clinic, or healthcare practice is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical office operations, billing, coding, and EHR systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and manage staff in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical management software.
Compensation
- $50,000 – $70,000 annual salary plus commission based on office performance.
