Medical Technologist, Obstetrics & Gynaecology (1 year contract)

The Medical Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic testing on in vitro fertilised embryos of patients undergoing pre implantation genetic testing (PGT).

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct preimplantation genetic testing for common single gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities.
• Develop custom genetic diagnostic assays for rare single gene disorders and conduct the PGT for rare single gene disorders.
• Conduct preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies.
• Involve in the general administrative operation and services of the Centre, internal and external audits, and R&D aspect.
• Participate in annual External Quality Assessment (EQA).
• Attend to telephone enquiries/calls and trace results when requested.
• Participate in service quality activities/program.

Requirements

• Degree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences or related qualification.
• Prior experience in Molecular Biology, Genomics and Genetics and next generation sequencing.
