To manage, control, and track all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) documents for interior fit-out projects. The role ensures proper documentation flow, timely submission, and coordination with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants. Only candidates with a minimum of 2 years of MEP document control experience will be considered.
Key Responsibilities Document Handling & Control
- Receive, log, scan, and distribute all incoming and outgoing MEP documents including drawings, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, RFIs, IRs, test reports, and correspondence.
- Maintain an accurate document filing system in accordance with company and project standards.
- Ensure all documents are properly numbered, updated, and stored with correct revisions.
MEP Coordination
- Track and update the status of all MEP submissions (approvals, rejections, pending matters).
- Coordinate with MEP engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely submission and approval of documents.
- Follow up on pending approvals and alert the team when action is required.
Fit-Out Project Support
- Handle fast-track documentation workflows typical in fit-out projects.
- Assist in preparing and organizing MEP close-out documents such as O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, and compliance certificates.
- Support QA/QC with documentation required for inspections and approvals.
Software & Reporting
- Manage EDMS platforms such as Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or company-specific systems.
- Prepare weekly and monthly document status reports for management.
- Ensure all documentation complies with project specifications and client requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MEP Document Controller (mandatory).
- Experience in interior fit-out projects is highly preferred.
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Management, or related field.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with MEP drawings, schedules, and technical submissions.
- Strong knowledge of document control procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word) and EDMS platforms (Aconex, Procore, etc.).
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, fast-track project environment.
