MEP Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee the planning, design, installation, and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for a new apartment building project in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience with high-rise residential construction, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors to ensure quality and timely project completion.

Key ResponsibilitiesMEP Planning & Design

• Review, analyze, and validate MEP drawings (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Drainage, Firefighting).
• Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate and integrate MEP designs with architectural and structural drawings.

Project Execution & Coordination

• Supervise on-site installation of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire safety systems.
• Coordinate daily activities with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Maintain project schedule and ensure timely execution of all MEP activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with approved drawings.

Technical & Operational Duties

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and material requisitions for MEP works.
• Monitor material usage and ensure quality standards of equipment and installations.
• Troubleshoot design and execution issues and provide technical solutions.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain complete project documentation including drawings, reports, logs, and inspection records.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for project management.
• Ensure proper coordination of shop drawings, material approvals, and method statements.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in MEP engineering, preferably in apartment or high-rise building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical distribution systems, plumbing networks, and fire safety systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP design software.
• Knowledge of PEC, local building codes, and safety standards.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

• Experience in managing subcontractors and handling site challenges.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
• Familiarity with modern construction technologies and energy-efficient systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
