MEP Estimation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MEP Estimation to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and technical evaluations for MEP works (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) across various commercial, residential, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems based on project drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from design drawings and tender documents.
• Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements for tender submissions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain material quotations and pricing.
• Evaluate and compare received quotations to prepare cost summaries and budgets.
• Assist in preparing tender documentation, including cost breakdowns and technical submissions.
• Work with the engineering team to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Review design changes or addenda and update estimates accordingly.
• Maintain records of previous project costs, supplier databases, and price trends for future reference.
• Support the project team during post-tender clarifications and negotiations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in MEP estimation or quantity surveying within the UAE or GCC (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred but not mandatory).
• Good understanding of tendering procedures, project specifications, and construction standards.
• Strong skills in MS Excel, cost estimation software, and quantity measurement tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
