Brunswick’s Middle School seeks an exceptional mathematics educator for the 2026-2027 academic year who possesses both technical expertise and a genuine commitment to our mission of preparing boys for life through rigorous academic instruction, mentorship, and co-curricular involvement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Design and deliver weekly mathematics instruction aligned with Brunswick’s curriculum standards and mission.
- Assess student learning through varied methods and provide constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback.
- Collaborate with department chair, division head, and/or colleagues on curriculum development and instructional improvement.
- Meet classes as scheduled; notify Division Head in advance of absence, and, if possible, arrange for coverage.
- Be accessible to students through school-appropriate communications platforms, or scheduled office hours, including arranging, when necessary, additional time for appointments.
- Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- May coach or lead co-curricular activities (athletics, clubs, or other programs).

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Primary work in traditional classroom settings with whiteboards, technology, and student desks.
- Teaching schedule is typically during standard school hours with additional time for preparation, grading, and meetings.
- Coaching or advising responsibilities may extend into evenings, weekends, or afternoons.
- Collaborative environment requiring regular interaction with students, colleagues, families, and administrators.
- Professional dress and conduct are expected as role model for students.
- Ability to stand and move around the classroom for extended periods during instruction.
Ability to supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, dining hall, athletic fields, and co-curricular activities.
