As MIPS Coordinator specializing in medical billing, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) program within our healthcare organization. Your primary focus will be to ensure compliance with MIPS requirements, maximize incentives, and facilitate the successful reporting of quality measures. You will collaborate closely with billing staff, clinicians, and other stakeholders to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and drive performance improvements in MIPS-related activities.

Responsibilities:

MIPS Program Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to effectively manage MIPS program requirements.
  • Stay informed about updates and changes to MIPS regulations and guidelines.
  • Coordinate MIPS-related activities across departments to ensure compliance and optimize performance.

Data Collection and Reporting:

  • Oversee the collection, validation, and submission of MIPS data to CMS or relevant registries.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data reported for quality measures, improvement activities, and promoting interoperability.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor MIPS performance metrics and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze data trends and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and staff to implement targeted interventions to address performance gaps.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of MIPS-related activities, including data collection processes and reporting procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to MIPS program requirements and guidelines, including documentation standards and data security protocols.

Quality Improvement Initiatives:

  • Collaborate with quality improvement teams to integrate MIPS requirements into broader quality improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in MIPS-related workflow
