MRP Administrator

JOB SUMMARY: Advanced Excel knowledge; production scheduling background preferred; scheduling/MRP experience; inventory tracking knowledge preferred. Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory levels per customer contract requirements. Interface with production, planning, and engineering departments for job order processing. Initiate customer contact related to contract issues.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

· Review and release orders generated from forecasted information.

· Maintain a minimum of 85% inventory level of all contracted items.

· Maintain award status, pricing, revision level, and amendments of contract parts.

· Review and control all contract items in WIP.

· Analyze minimum build requirements based on customer forecast and estimated annual usage.

· Advise planning personnel of forecast requirements.

· Obtain drawings when necessary.

· Expedite contract back orders as needed.

· Communicate scheduling requirements to production department.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Requires basic mathematics acquired by a high school education or equivalent. Moderate experience in the manufacturing processes of metal fabrication is preferred. Intermediate skills in the analysis of data. Advanced skills in a Microsoft windows environment that will include Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel. Professional communication skills which are conducive to a business environment. Semiconductor Industry knowledge is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing environment with emphasis on forecasting and MRP administration. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer forecast. Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
