Blank Rome LLP has an opening for a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least 2 years of law firm experience to support the Firm's patent prosecution and technology practice. Candidates can be based out of our New York, Houston, Philadelphia or Washington, D.C. offices. The Patent Agent or Attorney candidate will leverage their technical expertise, with a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineer, Civil Engineering, or the like, to assist the Firm's clients in protecting their medical device and mechanical technology. The Patent Agent or Attorney will draft and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as support due diligence. Candidates must be registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and if appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state. Candidates must have strong time management skills and be able to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments coming from multiple partners and clients. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. The target annual pay range for this role in New York City and Washington, D.C. is $150,000 - $200,000 plus bonuses based on performance. Positions outside of New York City and Washington, D.C. will be subject to annual pay ranges specific to the market for that particular geographic location. Actual pay will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The compensation range listed is just one component of Blank Rome’s total compensation package for employees.
