Job Overview
We are seeking a currently NORTH CAROLINA LICENSED Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate must be inquisitive and willing to do the work necessary to practice law in several areas of practice but particularly be willing and able to litigate as a courtroom lawyer . This role requires excellent speaking and negotiation skills and the ability to conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw and further to draft and answer discovery at a high level.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare detailed legal documents.
- Appear in court.
- Draft and review discovery, contracts, agreements, and other legal instruments.
- Represent clients in negotiations and litigation proceedings.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
- Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Provide exceptional client service by maintaining clear communication throughout the legal process.
- View law as a career rather than an hourly wage job.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed by the North Carolina State Bar.
- Previous experience in a law office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw is essential.
- Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $76,492.55 - $92,120.05 per year
