Duties & responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust and scalable network architectures to support the connectivity needs of our co-working and private office spaces.
- Oversee the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and services.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure the timely resolution of network-related issues and to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and implement network security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls, to safeguard sensitive information and protect against cyber threats.
- Plan and execute network expansion projects to accommodate the growth of our company and its services.
- Work closely with the IT team to integrate network systems with other technology infrastructure, such as cloud services, VoIP systems, and smart building technologies.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on network performance, security incidents, and infrastructure improvements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending relevant updates to enhance the company's network capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
- Proven experience 3-5 years in network management and administration, with a track record of successful network design and implementation.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving network-related goals.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching.
- Strong understanding of VoIP (Voice-over-internet protocol).
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and architecture, including LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience with network security best practices and tools to safeguard against cyber threats.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining accurate network documentation.
