A typical day as a New Store Opening Trainer at Mo' Bettahs is built on teamwork as you collaborate and partner with numerous cross-functional team members. Prior to the construction turnover of each location from the development team, you will participate in the execution of hosting activities that ensure each location has every resource needed in opening our doors and welcoming in new customers. You will provide support through pre-opening, grand opening, and post-open operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with NSO Manager to define and execute list of required tasks to ensure a successful opening.

  • Identify gaps in operations within our restaurants and implement solutions to resolve those gaps to ensure a successful opening.

  • Participate in other training activities that support the long-term objectives of the brand.

  • Coordinate training plans with NSO Manager, the General Manager and District Manager of each new location.

  • Ensure all needed tools and supplies needed to execute each training plan are set up and available.

  • Partner with the New Store Opening Manager and District Manager to ensure operations excellence through practice activities, VIP events, and post-opening.

  • Partner with New Store Opening Manager and District Manager to solve problems as they arise associated with shifting timelines, staffing, equipment issues, missing supplies, or other opportunities hindering operational excellence for our customers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership position in the food service industry.

  • Experience participating in and/or leading the opening of 4+ food service locations.

  • This role requires 60% travel outside of home state. Must be available to travel when needed for business related work.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and maintain composure in ambiguous situations.

  • Expected to take initiative, be forward-thinking, and provide long-term solutions to issues that arise.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work with various partners across varying disciplines.

  • Ability to establish and implement programs and processes.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time, lift to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time including viewing the screen, using a mouse and manipulating a keyboard with hands, reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
