  • Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to SOC team process , policies, and on time reporting
  • Security Monitoring: The SOC analyst is responsible for monitoring security events on a continuous basis to detect and prevent security breaches. This includes monitoring network traffic, logs, and security alerts from various security systems.
  • Network Monitoring: Responsible for monitoring the network for issues such as performance degradation, outages, by making use of various tools to monitor network traffic, server performance, and system logs.
  • Incident Response: The NSOC analyst is responsible for responding to security & Network incidents in real-time. This involves investigating incidents, identifying the root cause, and taking appropriate action to contain and mitigate the incident.
  • Threat Intelligence: The SOC analyst is responsible for staying up-to-date with the latest threat intelligence and trends. This includes monitoring threat feeds, analyzing threat intelligence reports, and sharing this information with other members of the security team.
  • Collaboration: The NOC SOC analyst must work collaboratively with other members of the security team, as well as other IT teams and business units, for timely action.
  • Reporting: The SOC analyst must provide regular reports to management and other stakeholders on the status of the security program, including metrics on security incidents and trends.

Work Experience

  • Proficient in using a range of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection and Prevention System), firewalls, and endpoint protection tools.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO,
    Familiarity with threat intelligence and the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) used by attackers.
