Role Purpose
Assist the Team in the functioning of the Health, Safety & Environment Management System along with the positive development of the HSE culture health and Safety.
Key Accountabilities

Assess and treat employees who are injured or become ill at work, and decide on their further referral/ treatment to hospital.

Maintain and analyse employee health records and statistics.

Maintain first-aid kits, order new supplies and destroy out-of-date items as necessary.

Ensure all required medicine and first aid equipment are available in site clinic.

Assist injured employees returning to work from medical leave/ hospital admission.
-
Contact hospital as necessary to arrange further treatment.

Complement the duties of HSSE officers in identifying health hazards and recommend controls.

Report all accidents and first aid cases to Project HSSE Officers.

Submit weekly reports to site HSSE Officer, and monthly reports to main camp clinic.

Affix a copy of first-aider certificate to each first aid box.

Inspect first aid kits on weekly basis to ensure all first-aid medications and materials are available for staff.

Maintain a log book of first aid cases.

Ensure medical waste disposal is performed as per legal requirements.

Ensure strict adherence of HSE policies and procedures set

Report HSE incidents/violations etc. to superiors on time

Strict adherence of legal requirements
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
-
Diploma in Nursing.
-
5 + years relevant working experience (preferred in well-established contracting companies in GCC).

Ability to receive NEBOSH certificate
-
Registered Nurse with HAAD or DHA
-
Knowledge of OHS&E standards, Operational hazards and controls, International HSE standards.

Ability to accept direction and complete work independently, demonstrating confidence and conviction with the ability to intervene at all times.

A self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
Ability to carry out risk assessments and provide improvement recommendations
