Job Title: Staff Nurse

Qualification - B.Sc Nursing / GNM

Reports To: Head Nurse/ Manager

Job Purpose

To provide high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with clinical standards and organizational protocols, ensuring the health, safety, and comfort of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care:
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor patient vital signs and record observations.
• Assist patients with daily activities, such as hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
• Clinical Duties:
• Prepare and maintain patient records, documenting care provided and patient progress.
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures as directed.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
• Communication:
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Emergency Response:
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
• Assist in resuscitation procedures and other critical care needs.
• Infection Control:
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including sterilization and disinfection procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Administrative Duties:
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of nursing documentation.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
