Nurse Clinician, Infection Control (East/ Office hours)

Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and execution of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Providing guidance on infection prevention and control matters in alignment with policies and procedures.
- Collecting data and maintaining records related to IPC surveillance and clinical incidents.
- Conduct IPC audit eg Hand Hygiene, Environmental audit
- Develop and conduct relevant infection control training program for internal staff.
- Co-ordinate and oversee Infection Control Committee (ICC) meeting, initiatives
- Confidently delivering public talks on general nursing topics, infection control related topics
- Develop Standard Operating Policies (SOPs) relating to Infection Prevention and Control
- Oversee competency program: Mask Fitting, Hand Hygiene Competency, PPE and Infection Control and Prevention staff orientation program.
- Support and participates in any audit, licencing and new services that requires IP inputs.
- Manage the Infection Control representatives and provide guidance whenever needed
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Valid BCLS certificate
- Registered as a State Registered nurse with Singapore Nursing Board
- Minimum with 5 years of clinical practice as a Registered Nurse
- Previous experience in Community Healthcare will be advantageous.
- Formal infection prevention and control training or appointment as an Infection Prevention and Control Liaison Nurse preferred
