Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced contract Nutritionist to support product development, nutrition policy creation, ingredient verification, cost optimization, and marketing communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Ingredient and Frozen Meal Policies guiding nutritional standards for 5 Minute Gourmet.

• Verify recipe ingredients and documentation; confirm compliance with our manufacturer.

• Ensure packaging meets FDA/USDA requirements for nutrition labels, ingredients, and regulated claims.

• Support cost optimization by identifying healthier and cost‑effective ingredient alternatives.

• Assist marketing by explaining product benefits and addressing consumer nutrition questions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, or related field; RDN preferred.

• 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or product development.

• Knowledge of FDA/USDA labeling regulations.

• Experience evaluating supplier documentation and working with cross‑functional teams.

• Strong communication skills; ability to simplify nutrition concepts.

• Self‑motivated and experienced working as a contractor (1099).

• Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

• Schedule: Flexible hours • Remote or Hybrid

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
