About the role

DNV seeks an Outreach Lead to manage and support outreach activities for the Small Business Energy Efficiency Programs in Michigan. Reporting directly to the Head of Section, this position will oversee the outreach team, ensuring alignment with program goals, client expectations, and operational excellence. The Outreach Lead plays a critical role in fostering relationships with trade allies, customers, and the client to drive participation and deliver measurable energy savings.

This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, balancing time between office coordination and field engagement.

This role is based at our DNV office in Lansing, MI, presenting a dynamic hybrid schedule where employees will typically spend three (3) days per week working from either a DNV office or client location/site. Further details regarding role-specific requirements will be shared during the interview process.

What you'll do

  • Oversee and coach the outreach team to ensure program objectives, participation targets, and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Coordinate with marketing, operations, and program leadership to implement effective outreach strategies and improve performance outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the client team overseeing trade ally management, maintaining strong communication and collaboration.
  • Coordinate and deliver ongoing training for the outreach team, conduct field ride-alongs, and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Work directly with trade allies and customer to address concerns, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

About you

What is Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in energy efficiency, utility programs, or related outreach, sales, or trade ally management roles
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively across multiple departments
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail
  • Experience with CRM tools and data tracking systems
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with customers, trade allies, and utility clients
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

What is Preferred

  • Bachelor s degree in business administration, Energy Management, Communications, or a related field preferred.
