Duties
- Develop eye-catching packaging concepts aligned with brand guidelines and marketing strategies, ensuring consistency across all visual elements.
- Utilize advanced graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, and Sketch to produce high-quality digital art, illustrations, and layout designs.
- Incorporate motion graphics and video editing techniques using Adobe After Effects and other tools to enhance packaging presentations or promotional content.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate branding elements, logo design, typography, and color theory into packaging visuals that communicate brand stories effectively.
- Manage color accuracy and consistency through meticulous color management practices across print and digital formats.
- Create prototypes and production-ready files for sign manufacturing, print advertising, and packaging production processes.
- Apply UI/UX principles and web design skills using WordPress, Content Management Systems (CMS), HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for digital packaging displays or online product showcases.
- Conduct photo manipulation, photography sessions, and digital editing to enhance product images used in packaging or promotional materials.
- Present design concepts clearly using presentation skills and tools such as InVision or other visualization platforms to gather feedback and refine ideas.
- Ensure all designs meet technical specifications for print manufacturing while adhering to safety standards and industry regulations.
Experience
- Must be over age of 21 with bachelor’s degree in design or a related field.
- 3+ years graphics design experience working for packaging company.
- Proven experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio showcasing packaging projects, branding campaigns, or digital art.
- Demonstrated expertise in art direction, logo design, typography, color management, and visual storytelling within a commercial context.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), After Effects, Sketch, CorelDRAW, Figma, InVision, and other relevant design tools.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), including surface modeling and 3D mockups/renderings.
- Knowledge of web development fundamentals including HTML, CSS, JavaScript; experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes and print production workflows for packaging or advertising materials.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles to develop designs that enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate creative ideas clearly to cross-functional teams.
