Paint & Drywall Specialist

The specialist will have proven skills and experience with dry wall repair/replacement and painting work, including large areas in a retail-type commercial setting. The painter will work efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and demonstrate the ability to work in a professional manner alongside patrons and employees when completing projects during hours of operation. This includes preparation, painting, clean up, surface repair, inventory and equipment management and maintenance, and assisting with other projects when needed. The painter shall maintain an organized and safe work environment. The role includes traveling to multiple locations to repair and paint throughout the San Jose / Santa Clara market and is a full-time position. Schedule will include weekends and after-hours shifts occasionally to complete larger projects.

Essential Functions and Job Duties:

• Paints cabinets, walls, and doors in various commercial applications.

• Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and removing old paint

• Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler

• Removes fixtures such as pictures, door knobs, lamps, and electric switch covers prior to painting.

• Covers surfaces with drop-cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.

• Discards any and all waste generated by painting.

• Handles loading and unloading of painting material; transports materials to installation destination.

• Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management.

• Must have reliable transportation

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
