River Oaks MRI & Diagnostics is one of Fort Bend County’s leading outpatient imaging centers, providing advanced imaging services including ultra–wide-bore 3T MRI, 160-slice low-dose CT, X-ray, and ultrasound. We work closely with numerous personal injury law firms and medical providers to support patients through their recovery journey.

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal / LOP Case Coordinator who is detail-oriented, bilingual, and skilled in managing personal injury cases within a medical setting.

Position Summary

This role supports the coordination of Personal Injury (PI), Letters of Protection (LOP), medical liens, and communication between attorneys, clinics, and patients. The Paralegal will ensure accurate documentation, compliance with legal requirements, and timely flow of information to support clinical and operational efficiency.

Candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish) and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment that requires exceptional organization and communication.

Key Responsibilities PI & LOP Coordination

  • Manage all incoming PI and LOP cases from law firms, chiropractic clinics, and referring providers.
  • Track patient status, imaging records, and case progress from initial intake through discharge.
  • Ensure compliance with attorney requests, LOP agreements, lien documentation, and medical release forms.
  • Monitor and update case management logs for accuracy and completeness.

Document Management & Legal Support

  • Prepare, review, and organize PI/LOP documentation, medical records, billing statements, and radiology reports.
  • Respond to attorney requests for records, imaging films, and billing updates.
  • Maintain secure handling of sensitive legal and medical information in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Assist with preparation of settlement packets upon request.

Patient Communication & Case Navigation

  • Communicate clearly with PI patients regarding appointments, ongoing case requirements, and expectations.
  • Provide follow-up communication to ensure compliance with imaging schedules and treatment plans.
  • Coordinate translation or bilingual communication for Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Help bridge communication between patients, attorneys, and the clinical team.

Internal & External Coordination

  • Work closely with imaging technologists, radiologists, and administrative leadership to ensure smooth coordination of PI cases.
  • Develop strong professional relationships with local PI attorneys and clinical partners.
  • Track outstanding balances, liens, and case closure documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury Paralegal, Case Manager, or LOP Coordinator required.
  • Strong understanding of PI processes, LOPs, liens, billing practices, and settlement workflows.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and imaging services (MRI/CT) preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a high-volume, time-sensitive work environment (avoid “high stress” wording).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Proficiency with case management systems, Microsoft Office, and digital record platforms.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time role, Monday–Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $58,430.86 per year
