Part-Time Estate Planning Attorney

15–25 Hours Per Week

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Estate Planning Attorney to join our team and support our estate planning and related practice areas. This position is ideal for an attorney who values flexibility, enjoys client interaction, and is interested in working across a variety of matters within a supportive environment.

Position Overview:
The attorney in this role will assist with a blend of estate planning tasks and related legal work, including tax controversy matters and M&A transactions. This position involves both client-facing duties and detailed document review. Training is available for candidates who do not have prior estate planning experience but are eager to learn and grow in this area.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Drafting wills and other estate planning documents in accordance with firm standards and client objectives.
  • Meeting with clients during intake to gather information, understand their goals, and help establish the structure of their estate plan.
  • Overseeing will signings to ensure all documents are properly executed and comply with required formalities.
  • Reviewing estate planning documents for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
  • Assisting on tax controversy matters as assigned.
  • Supporting M&A transactional work as needed.
  • Assisting with Estate Administration files in coordination with the team.
  • Participating in available training opportunities (for attorneys without prior estate planning knowledge).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong preference will be given to applicants who are board-certified specialists in estate planning/probate.
  • Candidates should be comfortable communicating with clients, managing multiple tasks, and working both independently and collaboratively.

Compensation:
Hourly compensation ranges from $40 to $80, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule:
This is a part-time position requiring 15–25 hours per week. Specific scheduling can be discussed during the interview process.
