Our firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Estate Planning Paralegal to join our growing firm. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in a client-focused environment and excels at managing complex estate planning matters.
About the Role
The Estate Planning Paralegal will oversee the day-to-day operations of our estate planning practice, support attorneys in document drafting and case management, and serve as a primary point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and skilled at guiding clients through sensitive and important life-planning decisions.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives
- Manage the intake, organization, and processing of estate planning matters from start to finish
- Coordinate and maintain calendars, client communications, and document execution appointments
- Perform legal research related to estate planning and probate matters
- Review financial and personal information to accurately prepare documents and ensure compliance
- Maintain internal workflows, checklists, and procedures to ensure efficient practice management
- Work closely with attorneys to ensure accurate and timely completion of client deliverables
- Assist with probate filings and estate administration tasks as needed
- Provide exceptional client service, including status updates and answering client questions
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a paralegal in wills, trusts, or estate planning
- Strong understanding of estate planning concepts, legal terminology, and probate procedures
- Excellent drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong attention to detail
- Professional communication skills and a client-centered approach
- Proficiency in legal practice management software and Microsoft Office
- Paralegal certification preferred but not required
