Part-Time Marketing & Community Outreach Assistant

Rocco’s Italian Kitchen, a family-owned Italian restaurant in Bradenton, is looking for a creative, outgoing, and reliable Marketing & Community Outreach Assistant. This role focuses on helping us attract new guests, strengthen our presence in the community, and keep our online and print materials fresh and consistent. Once a guest comes in, because of our great food, hospitality and enjoyable atmosphere, they come back!

This is a flexible, part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys design, social media, talking to people, and local community engagement.

What You’ll Do

Community Outreach

• Identify new opportunities to increase visibility in Bradenton
• Build relationships with nearby apartment complexes, HOAs, clubs, churches and organizations
• Distribute flyers and promotional materials in neighborhoods, parks, businesses, and residential communities
• Represent Rocco’s at local events, festivals, and markets

Marketing, Social Media & Design

• Create and post content on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Take and edit photos/videos of menu items, events, and specials
• Assist in developing promotions and new guest-driving ideas
• Design flyers, posters, menus, table tents, and simple graphics (Canva-friendly)

Menu & Online Presence Management

• Maintain online menus across Google, Facebook, and delivery platforms (Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub, Slice)
• Update hours, specials, pricing, images, and descriptions
• Keep digital files and marketing assets organized

Events & Music Schedule Support

• Help manage and update our live music schedule
• Keep online event listings current
• Assist with promotion of weekly features and special events

General Administrative Support

• Organize digital files, receipts, and spreadsheets
• Help with scheduling reminders and follow-up tasks
• Assist with occasional errands or event preparation

Who You Are

• Friendly, professional, and comfortable engaging with people
• Creative with basic-to-intermediate graphic design skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Confident with social media or quick to learn
• Reliable transportation (outreach sometimes requires driving)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus

Hours & Pay

• 10–20 hours/week, flexible schedule
• Tasks and priorities will be provided by the owner, while the schedule for completing them remains flexible and self-directed.
• Occasional afternoons/evenings for events or outreach
• Pay based on experience
• Some tasks require onsite time at the restaurant
