Part-time Preschool Teacher (PM)

Sonshine Preschool is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher to assistant the Lead Teacher, and inspire a classroom of 2.5 year olds & 3-year-olds. We're looking for someone with a proven ability to maintain a structured, positive environment while fostering a love of learning and the Gospel. Schedule: Part Time (12pm - 6pm, Monday - Friday)

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children
• Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs
• Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care for the children

REQUIREMENTS:

• Christian actively attending church
• Experience teaching the Bible Based Curriculum
• 1+ years experience of prior classroom or childcare experience
• CDA Credential (preferred)
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Shows empathy and compassion for young children
• Willingness to be part of a team
• Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have a high school diploma/GED
• CPR Certified
