Location & Travel Requirements
This remote position is based in the Detroit, Michigan, area and requires significant travel, typically during school hours, to visit schools and district offices. The role mandates 50–65% travel (a minimum of three days per week) within the assigned territory. Overnight or evening travel is not typically required, though occasional out-of-state travel may be necessary for conferences, meetings, and training.

We are seeking candidates to serve in this territory-specific role who are located in, or have an easy commute to, the following Michigan regions:

Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt

Hours: This is a 40-hour-per-week position with an expectation of approximately 8 hours per day (M-F) within the window of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm CST based on business needs.

The Opportunity
Teaching Channel, a division of K12 Coalition, is seeking a Partner Engagement Advisor to build and maintain strategic relationships with districts, unions, schools, and key decision-makers. This role promotes our graduate-level continuing education and professional development offerings for K–12 educators through both in-person and virtual engagement opportunities.

The Partner Engagement Advisor is responsible for identifying and capitalizing on recruitment opportunities such as school visits, conferences, and professional development events. They will represent Teaching Channel’s full portfolio of products and services, connect with prospective customers via phone and email, and achieve both individual and team sales goals. This is an individual contributor role that requires proactive outreach, territory-based planning, and effective communication with internal teams to ensure alignment and growth.

The Partner Engagement Advisor reports to the Sr. Director of Customer Experience.

What You’ll Do

Sales & Outreach

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales benchmarks
  • Conduct outreach to prospective and lapsed customers via school visits, conference attendance, email, and phone
  • Research and identify sales opportunities within the assigned territory
  • Develop and present tailored product recommendations aligned to customer needs

Relationship Building & Customer Engagement

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with districts, schools, and other education stakeholders
  • Educate customers on Teaching Channel’s course offerings and professional development solutions
  • Engage in strategic conversations to understand the professional learning landscape and identify customer goals

CRM & Administrative Tasks

  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions in CRM tools
  • Process orders and enter customer data efficiently and accurately

Internal Collaboration

  • Share field insights, opportunities, and challenges with internal teams
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to inform campaigns and messaging
  • Contribute to a positive, service-oriented customer experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Other Duties

  • Support the team with additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to help meet evolving organizational goals and objectives


Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or higher (Bachelor’s preferred)

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in sales, preferably within the education or edtech sector

  • Proven ability to manage a consultative sales process with complex or service-based offerings

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and other digital tools for outreach and data tracking

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 per year.

In addition, there is a performance-based bonus opportunity of up to $20,000 annually, contingent upon achieving 100% of the designated quota.

As part of our commitment to pay equity, new hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the salary band minimum and the salary band midpoint depending on qualifications, location, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
