We are looking for a skill and detail-oriented Parts Inventory Control Clerk to join our team who has the ability to adhere to meticulous project specifications. You will be an integral part in ensuring that our front desk runs smoothly and is successful in supporting other business activities. All candidates must be able to work with both individuals and a team. The successful candidate will bring their talent and creativity to work every day and will have the ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Updates electronic parts files.
- Reviews body shop and insurances estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate and marks any PPD (Parts Price Difference) for the estimator to review it.
- Ensures that credits are received for returned parts.
- Returns parts as needed and removes from inventory after credit is received by creating copies of parts counter invoices.
- Returns cores in a timely manner and follows up for receipt of credit.
- Matches purchase orders and invoices, approves, and forwards to accounting office.
- Assists in the weekly parts inventory.
- Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout and revises as needed for maximum effectiveness.
- Keeps parts area clean and uncluttered.
- Maintains professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Associate’s/College degree; in business administration or relevant field is a Plus.
Experience:
- Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentations skills (English and Spanish)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Requires critical thinking skills, excellent communication and organizational skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong Microsoft Office applications handling Excel, Outlook e-mail, and Internet.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
