Job Summary

Enterprise Payment System Transformation Technical Architect

At least 17 years of architect role focused on large scale payments platforms in the Financial Services industry

Experience in some or all these various payment schemes and rails (eg ACH Wire SWIFT RTP Cards) and the ability to integrate with domestic and international clearing settlement networks

Experience of designing and implementing a payment system (switch hub etc.) from scratch


Responsibilities

Seeking experienced Enterprise Payment System Transformation Architect to lead architecture and design to modernize enterprise payments ecosystem for various banking clients

Design of end to end payment solutions covering high-value low-value domestic and cross-border transactions

Drive the adoption of modern architectural patterns including Cloud-Native Microservices Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) APIs and the ISO 20022 messaging standard

Ensure the architectural design meets key Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) such as scalability resilience low latency and security (e.g. PCI DSS)

Present and gain approval for architectural blueprints and roadmaps through the Architecture Review Board/Design Authority

Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical consultant for major payment transformation programs and initiatives

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to development teams on best practices for building modern payment applications

Define the technology stack for the future payments platform including optimal choices for databases (SQL NoSQL) messaging middleware (eg Kafka) and cloud platforms (eg AWS Azure GCP)

At least 10+ years of architect role focused on large-scale payments platforms in the Financial Services industry

Experience in some or all these various payment schemes and rails (e.g. ACH Wire SWIFT RTP Cards) and the ability to integrate with domestic and international clearing/settlement networks

Experience of designing and implementing a payment system (switch hub etc.) from scratch

Fluency in one or more enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF Zachman)

Strong command of API design (RESTful gRPC) and asynchronous messaging patterns

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts

Hands-on programming background in relevant languages (e.g. Java/Spring Boot)
