Banco Cooperativo de Puerto Rico, has an excellent opening for the position of Payroll and Human Resources Officer

This position is responsible for processing payroll on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. Responsible for processing quarterly and annual tax return. Asist in the Humans Resources Department procedures, such as recruitment, employee benefits, compensation, employee relations and HR systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of the company’s payroll..
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy of hours worked, overtime, license management, deductions, taxes and payroll (SINOT, and CFSE).
  • Assist with benefits administration.
  • Maintain and update files and records in a confidential and organized manner
  • Support the recruitment process
  • Assist in preparing internal documentation and presentations
  • Assist with the reception
  • Provide administrative support to other departments as needed

Job Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
  • Basic knowledge in BSA and AML.
  • Knowledge in Labor Laws.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of related experience required.

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work and maintain confidential data.
  • Ability to assume responsibility and exercise authority over areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to establish and maintain quality control standards.
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Skill in analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving some variables in common situations.
  • Knowledge MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
