Job Description: Payroll Executive

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Executive to manage end-to-end payroll processes and ensure accurate, timely salary disbursement for employees. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of payroll regulations, statutory compliances, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

  • Process monthly payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain attendance, leave records, overtime data, and shift changes.
  • Validate salary structures, new joiner details, and exit settlements.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, incentives, deductions, reimbursements, and arrears.

Statutory Compliance

  • Handle PF, ESI, PT, LWF and other statutory contributions.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
  • Stay updated on changes to payroll laws and ensure compliance.

Employee Support

  • Address payroll-related queries from employees in a timely manner.
  • Provide salary slips, tax declarations, Form 16, and other required documents.
  • Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding, exits, and policy updates.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain payroll data, reports, and documentation for audits.
  • Prepare MIS reports related to payroll, attendance, and headcount.
  • Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with company policies.

Coordination & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams for smooth payroll operations.
  • Assist in implementing payroll software upgrades or automation.
  • Identify gaps and streamline payroll processes for efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, HR, Accounting, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing (or as per requirement).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (SAP, Tally, GreytHR, Keka, Zoho, etc.).
  • Familiarity with statutory regulations (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with end-to-end payroll in mid to large-sized organizations.
  • Knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • Experience in HR operations is an advantage.
