  • Make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines at Amoskeag Health or external agencies for additional services, including sub-specialty evaluation, surgical evaluation, social services, nutrition, substance abuse, and mental health counseling.
  • Provide care for clients with acute illnesses, including same-day appointments as determined in collaboration with nursing staff according to Amoskeag Health policies.
  • Prescribe medications when indicated to treat medical conditions.
  • Conduct appropriate follow-up with clients through phone or written correspondence, including communicating abnormal test results, in consultation with nursing staff.
  • Provide clinical consultation to physicians and mid-level providers as needed.
  • Ensure accurate, timely, and clear documentation in the electronic medical record, including client contacts, case planning, and plans of care.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and staff.
  • Participate in administrative and clinical staff meetings, including case conferences, Medical Advisory Committee, QI Committee, and provider meetings; review minutes if absent.
  • Attend mandatory safety-related and infection control in-services as designated by Senior Management.
  • Assist in the development of medical and clinical policies and protocols for clients across the life cycle.
  • Maintain familiarity with local agencies to improve referral processes and communication.
  • Represent Amoskeag Health at local, regional, and national conferences as needed.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural diversity of the population served and maintain age-related competence.

What You'll Bring:

  • License to practice medicine in the State of New Hampshire
  • Board eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Maintain Board Certification in Pediatrics
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification preferred — candidates without current certification will be required to complete an Amoskeag Health–provided AHA BLS class upon hire (must be maintained)

What We Offer:

  • Benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, 403B with Company Match, PTO, Life Insurance, Continuing Education Opportunities and more!

  • Work in a supportive, collaborative environment with a team dedicated to advancing Amoskeag Health’s mission.
