Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of People, Culture and Safety,the P&C Officer is the primary contact for employees at every stage oftheir journey, from onboarding tooffboarding. They will provide generalist people services, supporting theorganisation's strategic objectives.
- Employee LifeCycle Support:includingrecruitment, onboarding, compliance management, training and development,performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
- EmployeeRelations:serve as thefirst point of contact for employee enquiries, including thedevelopment, implementation and monitoring of internal policies,guidelines, procedures and processes which provide an effective,consistent and timely delivery of P&C services.
- Consultation, Advice and Compliance:provide timely andaccurate guidance, and records administration in relation to Fair Worklegislation and the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability ServicesIndustry Award (SCHADS).
- Learning &Development:conducttraining needs analysis, align training materials with industry standards,maintain training records and ensure compliance is achieved.
- HR Projects andInitiatives:contribute toprojects that enhance the employee experience and improve the quality andefficiency of service delivery.
Requirements
- Relevant HR degreequalification with minimum of 2 years of experience in a generalist HRofficer / advisor role;
- Sound workingknowledge of Australian employment law, relevant HR legislation and theSocial, Community & Disability Services Award (SCHADS).
- Detailed understanding of HR principles, practices andcompliance requirements
- Strongorganisational skills with the ability to coordinate HR processesefficiently.
- Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills.
- Highattention to detail with the ability to maintain detailed and accuraterecords
- A collaborative,adaptable team player who's enthusiastic about helping improve processesand supporting the people within an organisation.
- Detailedunderstanding of competency-based training, especially within DisabilitySupport Services.
- A proactiveproblem-solver with a can-do attitude.
- Strongethics, reliability, flexibility, and discretion.
- Current NDISclearance and orientation, Police Clearance, Working with Children Check,First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
