Responsibilities

Perform detailed assessments to diagnose periodontal conditions

Design, implement, and manage comprehensive treatment plans for patients

Conduct a variety of periodontal procedures, including flap surgery, bone grafting, and implant installation

Provide education to patients regarding proper oral hygiene practices and the significance of periodontal health

Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care

Maintain accurate patient records and follow all regulatory guidelines

Stay informed about new developments in periodontics to enhance practice efficiency and patient outcomes
Requirements

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school

Completion of a residency program in Periodontics

Current state dental license and board certification in Periodontics

Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience is preferred
