About the Job:

We seek an energetic and driven Associate to join our Personal Injury team. This role requires previous experience in handling personal injury cases of various types. Candidates should have the ability to multitask, work within a team structure and willingness to put the time in to meet the needs of the case.

Responsibilities:

• Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
• Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
• Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
• Research case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
• Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate
• Represent the client at hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and litigation
• Document and update the status of all case files in the case management system

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) and respective state bar membership required
• Candidate must have at minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury cases (plaintiff preferred)
• Preference given to bilingual candidates

Requirements (Must Have):

• Strong client-facing experience in any field; ability to communicate clearly with our clients is a must
• Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple clients, projects and deadlines
• Preferential consideration for deposition, hearing and mediation experience
• Superior organization skills with great follow through
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize appropriately
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
