Performance Specialist – Elite Performance Center (Inverness / Steadman Hawkins Clinic)
Pay: Starting at $15/hour with earning potential up to $100K+ annually
Work Location: In-person at UCHealth Steadman Hawkins | Elite Performance Center Inverness

About Us

At Elite Performance Center, our mission is rooted in one thing: impact. We exist to elevate the health, performance, and confidence of every person we work with — from post-rehab clients rebuilding movement, to youth athletes developing foundational strength, to adults seeking long-term fitness and functionality.

Our Inverness / Steadman Hawkins location is a unique hybrid environment that blends performance training, corrective exercise, and clinical collaboration. Our team works side-by-side with world-class physical therapists and orthopedic specialists, serving clients who are transitioning out of rehab or training to reduce injury risk and improve long-term outcomes.

We believe performance is more than strength — it’s movement quality, communication, education, and trust. If you’re passionate about bridging the gap between rehab and performance, this is the environment where you will thrive.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a growth-minded Performance Specialist with a strong background in corrective exercise, functional strength training, and post-rehab progressions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating with physical therapists, understanding the “why” behind movement patterns, and helping clients return safely and confidently to full performance.

Beyond delivering high-quality training sessions, you’ll play a key role in client acquisition, relationship building, and consistent communication with both clients and referring clinicians. You’ll receive steady referral opportunities from physical therapists, but the expectation is also to build and retain your own client base through outreach, service excellence, and results.

This role begins with a structured hourly onboarding period and transitions into a performance-based commission model, allowing dedicated trainers to scale their income to $100K+ annually through excellence in service, retention, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver safe, effective, and customized training programs with an emphasis on corrective exercise, post-rehab progressions, and movement quality
  • Collaborate with UCHealth physical therapists to support smooth transitions from rehab to performance
  • Conduct movement assessments, consultations, and fitness evaluations
  • Drive new client acquisition through referrals, outreach, and conversion of leads
  • Maintain strong communication and follow-up with clients, PTs, and internal team members
  • Meet monthly performance goals related to sales, retention, and service consistency
  • Build strong relationships that promote client trust, long-term training adherence, and repeat business
  • Contribute to a high-energy, professional environment that aligns with Elite’s standards

Qualifications Required

  • Certified Personal Trainer (NASM, ACE, ISSA, NSCA, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of corrective exercise, biomechanics, and foundational movement coaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for rehab-to-performance training and helping clients return to full capability
  • Self-motivated, driven, and committed to growth
  • 1-2 years of personal training experience

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Athletic Training, or related field
  • Experience in a rehab, clinical, or PT-adjacent environment
  • Previous coaching or personal training experience
  • Availability for evenings and weekends

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and exercise demonstration
  • Ability to conduct multiple sessions per day with sustained energy
