Job Summary:
We are seeking a board-certified Dermatologist to provide clinical oversight in research studies focused on dermatologic diseases and skin-related conditions. The physician will perform targeted dermatologic evaluations, oversee study-related procedures, monitor patient safety, and contribute to advancing innovative dermatology treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive dermatologic assessments for conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, and other inflammatory or immunologic skin disorders.
  • Provide medical oversight for dermatology-focused clinical research protocols.
  • Perform and supervise dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, lesion assessments, injections, and other study-required interventions.
  • Monitor participant safety, treatment response, and adverse skin reactions throughout clinical trials.
  • Collaborate with study coordinators, investigators, and sponsors to ensure protocol compliance and adherence to GCP standards.
  • Interpret dermatologic scoring systems (e.g., PASI, EASI, IGA), imaging, and study results.
  • Document clinical findings, adverse events, and patient outcomes according to regulatory and sponsor guidelines.
  • Assist in protocol development, IRB submissions, and study-related documentation.
  • Educate participants and families on study procedures, investigational products, and skin health expectations.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Dermatology.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the study state.
  • Demonstrated interest in clinical research and dermatologic conditions.

Preferred:

  • Experience as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator in dermatology trials.
  • Familiarity with IRB processes, FDA regulations, and ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Clinical research certification (ACRP, SOCRA).
  • Background in inflammatory skin diseases, immunodermatology, or procedural dermatology.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and managing acute and chronic dermatologic conditions.
  • Skilled in dermatologic procedures such as biopsies, intralesional injections, and cryotherapy.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to counsel patients clearly and accurately.
  • Knowledge of clinical trial design, safety monitoring, and data integrity.
  • Strong analytical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with EMR and EDC systems.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay: $100.00 – $300.00 per hour (DOE), not including procedures
Procedures: Additional fair market compensation for dermatologic procedures (e.g., punch biopsy, shave biopsy, intralesional steroid injections, cryotherapy, etc.)
