Audubon is currently seeking a Piping Designer to join our team in our Houston Fabrication Office. The Piping Designer is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining drawings for piping systems, ensuring they meet engineering standards and project specifications. The Pipe Designer will work with AutoCAD/CADWorx/Plant 3D software, Creating and updating piping drawings, including isometrics, general arrangement drawings (GAs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interpret verbal or written direction to initiate a preliminary design.
- Initiate drawings following instructions of engineer, designer, supervisor, specifications and/or sketches.
- Implement revisions and change control per company standards at the direction of lead designer, senior designer or engineers.
- Check field red-lined drawings and generate accurate as-built drawings as needed.
- Design components or portions of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve them.
- Maintain proper file management in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Perform shop/field data gathering when requested by supervisor or manager.
- Comply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.
- Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs.
- Understanding/knowledge of industry standards and applicable codes.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- CAD Operator certification is required
- Associate's Degree from a Technical Institution preferred but not required
- AutoCAD experience required
- CADWorx Plant experience preferred
- CADWorx Equipment experience preferred
- CADWorx P&ID Pro experience preferred
- P&ID & PFD drafting experience is preferred
- Piping Plan & section drafting experience is preferred
- Autodesk Plant 3D software experience is preferred
- Isogen experience or ability to read Isometrics preferred
- Navisworks Simulate/Freedom is preferred
- Fabrication shop experience preferred
- Process skid design and drafting experience preferred
- Field experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred
- Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems
- Ability to read and understand drawing markups to determine drafting requirements
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Must be highly self-motivated
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (outlook, word, excel, etc.)
