The Planning Manager – Construction (Mechanical Engineering Qualified) is responsible for overseeing project planning, scheduling, and coordination for construction projects with a focus on mechanical engineering activities. The role ensures timely project execution, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with engineering standards, leveraging tools such as AutoCAD 3D for design review and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor detailed construction project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Manage resource allocation, equipment, and workforce planning for multiple project lines.
- Oversee line qualification and workflow optimization to ensure efficient project execution.
- Review and interpret mechanical designs using AutoCAD 3D to align construction with engineering requirements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and project documentation using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to align planning with project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in construction planning and project management.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D for design review and drafting.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office for reporting, scheduling, and presentations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles applied to construction.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and workflow optimization.
