The Plumbing Service Technician will utilize their technical proficiency to diagnose, service, and install plumbing systems, adherence to relevant codes, and is responsible for, installing, repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of plumbing experience diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues in residential commercial properties.
  • Proactively identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns/callbacks.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems for water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in various piping systems.
  • Inspect high-pressure, air, steam, water, and gas systems to identify malfunctions.
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, test joints, and assess pipe systems.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
  • Review blueprints, building codes, or specifications to plan work details and procedures.
  • Study building plans and inspect structures to assess material and equipment needs.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bend, ream, and install pipes and fittings.
  • Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings.
  • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, or fixtures.
  • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, or fixtures using hand or power tools.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of service calls and manage time effectively.
  • Provide live job updates and submit estimates for approval through company CRM platform.
  • Estimates must be created and submitted to management for approval before job is performed.
  • Ensure a clean and well-stocked service vehicle.
  • Wearing of shoe covers and having blankets when performing jobs inside customers is mandatory.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings.
  • Participate in periodic inventory and truck inspections.
  • Keep tools and machinery in good condition and use them safely.
  • Explain each service performed to clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Debrief with dispatch after completing each job.
  • Provide pricing to customers for approval before performing any work.
  • Maintain a professional image by adhering to safety policies, wearing company-approved apparel, and following ethical standards.
  • Keep the company vehicle clean and organized, respecting customer property.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum of five years of verifiable plumbing experience in residential service and maintenance. (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of local and national plumbing codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Basic change order cost-estimating experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Educational/Certification Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma.
  • Journeyman license. (Preferred)

Environmental Conditions:

  • Field service environment.
  • Exposure to smells associated with sewer and water sounds associated with power tools.
  • Exposure to dust and other debris.
  • Extreme weather conditions.
  • Extended work hours, including day and/or evening shifts.
  • Local travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and potential verbal/physical confrontations.
  • Ability to work extended hours, nights, or weekends.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Natural or corrected vision for close, distant, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
  • Ability to perform work assignments with or without reasonable accommodation for a known disability.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
