Job Description

Ford Otosan Powertrain Manufacturing Engineering Leadership is looking for candidates for the Facility Engineer position detailed below.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead design, procurement and commissioning of constructional, mechanical or electrical infrastructure of new production lines, process equipments, overhead and transfer systems in FO PTO facilities,

• Conduct studies to secure production metrics such as capacity, JPH, etc. together with process teams and ensure final products launched in accordance with the engineering standards (GPDS) timing,

• Conduct layout studies of the machining or assembly lines in terms of process efficiency, material flow processes, employee health and ergonomics; and guide the team in this direction,

• Define and apply Global Ford and Ford Otosan standards at the forefront in new projects, ensuring the most ergonomic and efficient commissioning of equipment and production facilities, improving worker health and safety, solving existing problems within the scope of new projects, and guiding the team according to these goals,

• Follow new developments and technologies in automotive industry and update Ford Otosan's manufacturing technology level within the scope of Industry 4.0,

• Conduct studies to identify plant and equipment strategies to develop end-to-end connected systems and innovative solutions that support smart factory methodologies.

Qualifications

•Mechanical, Metallurgical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering Degree from a reputable university,

•Have at least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferably in the automotive industry,

• Upper intermediate level English language skills,

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings related to manufacturing processes,

• Must be computer literate: MS excel, word, power point etc,

• Having ambition to achieve professional goals and contribute to team's success,

• Enthusiasm to learn new topics by experience and research and to participate cross-functional teams,

• Positivity, eagerness, and optimism for new projects and new learning opportunities,

• Writing skills that also include high level of spelling, grammar and punctuation in Turkish and English,

• Ability to adapt and transform their technical abilities for new projects and products,

• Intermediate level of AutoCAD knowledge is an asset,

• Developed in relationship management competence, prioritizing emotional intelligence,

• To follow the work and process strongly by taking responsibility,

• Believing in continuous improvement, high motivation to learn,

• Have tolerance and flexibility,

• Working in coordination with intra-team and cross-business units with communication skills,

• General knowledge of Ford PTO procedures,

• Having knowledge of global project management and quality standards (GPDS, LQOS, ISO 9000) is an asset.
