Role Overview
The PPC & Purchase Executive is responsible for production planning, material procurement, vendor coordination, inventory control, and ensuring timely availability of resources to meet production targets. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts and work orders.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor WIP (Work in Progress) and track production progress against plan.
- Identify bottlenecks and propose corrective measures to optimize production efficiency.
- Maintain production schedules, reports, and MIS documentation.
2. Purchase & Procurement
- Identify material requirements based on production plans and inventory levels.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders on time.
- Source suppliers, negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain records of purchases, delivery schedules, and vendor performance.
3. Inventory & Material Management
- Ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts.
- Coordinate with the stores team for GRN, stock entries, and material issuance.
- Implement FIFO/FEFO and maintain accurate stock records.
- Minimize excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Work closely with production, logistics, quality, and finance teams.
- Resolve material shortages, delays, or quality issues with vendors.
- Provide timely updates to management on production status and purchase activities.
5. Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly MIS reports on production, consumption, and procurement.
- Track purchase costs, delivery timelines, and budget adherence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in PPC, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Knowledge of MRP, ERP/SAP/Tally or similar systems.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
