About The Function

The Communications function at MakeMyTrip plays a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s voice, strengthening its reputation, and driving meaningful engagement with key stakeholders. As a horizontal function, it works closely with business, product, and marketing teams to craft narratives that reflect MakeMyTrip’s purpose and leadership in the travel ecosystem.

From building compelling storylines around the company’s initiatives and innovations to spotlighting emerging travel trends, the team ensures consistent and impactful messaging across platforms. The function thrives on insight-driven storytelling, proactivity, and collaboration to deliver high-quality, on-brand communication that resonates with media, consumers, and government stakeholders.

About The Role

The incumbent will be driving strategic communication initiatives that enhance visibility, credibility, and engagement. This includes co-creating impactful stories and campaigns while closely collaborating with internal teams and external partners to align with broader business and communication goals.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Curating impactful stories by partnering with various lines of business to showcasecompelling narratives
  • Leading leadership positioning and executive communication to strengthen brandvoice and visibility
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to identify and execute high impact, PR-led campaigns
  • Driving integrated communication strategies with a sharp focus on content planningand management
  • Preparing background documents, briefing documents, and case studies on keyorganizational priorities and issues
  • Cultivating strong media relationships by engaging with journalists, bloggers,thought leaders, and influencers
  • Managing day-to-day operations with the PR agency to ensure seamless executionand alignment with goals
  • Ability to analyse data and insights to improve customer experience strategies.

Qualification & Experience

  • A graduation in Mass Communication or English (Hons.) from a reputed institute, along with 10+ years of experience as a journalist or communications professional.
