Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative, caring, and committed Pre-K Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for early learning, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to prepare young learners for kindergarten through engaging, developmentally appropriate practices. The Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for planning lessons, supporting school readiness skills, and maintaining open communication with families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Ohio Early Learning Standards
  • Create a structured, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning through play and exploration
  • Support children’s growth in early literacy, math readiness, social-emotional skills, and independence
  • Maintain daily communication with families regarding progress, activities, and classroom updates
  • Monitor and document each child’s developmental milestones and academic progress
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations and center policies
  • Foster positive relationships with students, families, coworkers, and administrators
  • Supervise children at all times and ensure a safe, clean, and organized classroom
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED required; CDA or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
  • Previous experience working with preschool or Pre-K children in a licensed childcare setting
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Understanding of early childhood development and kindergarten readiness skills
  • Responsible, creative, patient, and enthusiastic with strong communication and teamwork abilities

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
