4SI3NNA and Dee Elly Clothing are fast-growing Los Angeles–based apparel brands carried by top retailers including Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Lulus, Target, Amazon, and many more.

We are a tight-knit, fast-moving team looking for a highly organized Pre-Production Assistant to support our product development and pre-production processes.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who has experience in fittings, garment fitment, sampling, and technical development, and who thrives in a dynamic, detail-oriented environment.

Role Overview

The Pre-Production Assistant will support the technical design and production teams by coordinating fittings, reviewing garment specs, preparing technical packages, and ensuring product quality during pre-production and sampling stages. This role plays a critical part in bringing each style from development to production with accuracy and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and manage fit sessions across all product groups and brands.
  • Attend and lead fit sessions; capture accurate fit comments and relay them clearly to our overseas factories.
  • Review and evaluate garment fit, measurements, construction, and workmanship during all development stages.
  • Create and maintain tech packs, product specs, grading, and block patterns to ensure all details are up to date and consistent.
  • Prepare final design and spec packages for factories, ensuring all information is complete and delivered by set deadlines.
  • Track and monitor all proto, sample, PP (pre-production), and TOP (top-of-production) approvals.
  • Identify and flag any variances in measurements, fit issues, or quality problems throughout development and production.
  • Maintain a regular schedule for overseeing sampling and production development to ensure timely execution.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams and overseas partners to support a smooth workflow and on-time delivery.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in pre-production, technical design, or product development within the apparel industry.
  • Strong understanding of garment fit, measurements, and construction.
  • Experience attending or leading fit sessions strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in creating tech packs and using basic design or spec software (e.g., Illustrator is a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with overseas factories.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Passion for apparel, product development, and problem-solving.
