Children’s Lighthouse is seeking a nurturing, patient, and energetic PreSchool Teacher to join our team. The Toddler Teacher will provide a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers. This role is essential in supporting early learning, social-emotional development, and growing independence while maintaining strong communication with families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and hands-on learning.
  • Provide consistent care and guidance to toddlers, including support with meals, rest time, transitions, and potty training.
  • Observe, document, and communicate each child’s developmental progress to families on a regular basis.
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with children, parents, and team members.
  • Follow all state licensing guidelines and Children’s Lighthouse policies to ensure health, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool environment.
  • Strong knowledge of child development milestones and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Effective communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Completion of all state-required training and a clear background check.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
